NCI SBIR/STTR Small Business Funding
Researcher-initiated projects that are within the National Institutes of Health’s (NIH) mission can receive small business funding, resources, and support from the NCI Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs.
Funding may be awarded through either a grant or a contract. Grants are investigator-initiated, whereas contracts are defined by NIH. Grant submissions are accepted three times per year. Contract submissions are accepted only once per year and focus on NCI priority areas.
